Changbai Shan is a national park on the border between China and North Korea. The mountain (called Changbai Shan by the Chinese and Paekdusan by the Koreans) at the center of the park is topped by a crater lake known as Heaven Lake. We hiked both approaches to the mountain while staying in the town of Baihe.
